David M. Cole, O.D.

From the time after his birth until he was a second year optometry school student, Dr. Cole lived just outside Vinemont, AL. He is a product of the Cullman City School system, attending East Elementary, CMS, and Cullman High School. He graduated from CHS in 1998 with an Advanced Diploma. He lettered on both the varsity baseball and basketball teams while at Cullman High. He was named CHS Athlete of the Year in 1998, which was based on his athletic, academic, and extracurricular acheivements. He was also named to the CHS Senior Hall of Fame in 1998.

Dr. Cole attended Birmingham-Southern College from 1998-2002, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. He is a brother in Sigma Nu Fraternity (Lambda Theta Chapter). Through his leadership positions in Sigma Nu, Dr. Cole actively participated in many governmental organizations, including SGA, Circle K, and the Interfraternity Council on campus.

After working in the optometric field for a year as an assistant/technician, Dr. Cole attended UAB School of Optometry from 2003-2007, graduating with a Doctor of Optometry degree. And now, after working as an associate for the last three years in Cullman, Dr. Cole opened his own practice in early October 2010. From the beginning thoughts about his practice, Dr. Cole designed Cole Eyecare and Optical to be a modern, new-age clinic that gives the utmost attention to care and time spent with the patient.

In his spare time, Dr. Cole enjoys running, going to the gym, and spending time with his family.
